I recommend first trying an online store like eToys.com, Buy.com, Amazon.com. If they are sold out then go to Ebay, there are usually at least one available there that you can "buy now" for a fixed (non-competitive) price.

Use the Hunter's Guide: find stores locally or online that have the Wii in stock. Sometimes they are retail stores with online shopping available, other times you will have to drive to a local, or neighboring town's, store. If you have the time, you will save the most money, and potentially any complications.
If you have time to search ...
If you have to have it NOW ...

So you want a Nintendo Wii?

Like so many toys of years past, the highly demanded Wii takes time, patience, and a little luck. There are online resources to help guide your search, of which you will find the most valuable here. The overall approach is to first decide how soon do you need your Wii? Need it now? Get out your checkbook, because it WILL COST YOU. Do you have the time, and are you willing to put out the effort, to search out stock of Wii in a trial-by-error fashion?
